ICIT Seerah Conference
Karachi, Pakistan, June 25, 2000
The Institute of Contemporary Islamic Thought (ICIT) convened a Seerah Conference in Karachi, Pakistan, on June 25, 2000, to follow on from its three-day conference in Sri Lanka from June 16-18, 2000. Both conferences were intended to discuss the issues raised in Dr Kalim Siddiqui's landmark research-proposal paper 'Political Dimension of the Seerah' (ICIT, 1998), and were held in co-operation with Crescent International newsmagazine.
