ICIT Seerah Conference
Pretoria, South Africa, September 21-23, 2001

The Institute of Contemporary Islamic Thought (ICIT)'s International Seerah Conference in South Africa, originally scheduled for June 2001, took place from September 21-23, 2001. Like other meetings convened as part of the ICIT's Seerah program, the conference discussed the social and political lessons that can be drawn from the Seerah for the Muslim Ummah and the Islamic movement today, in light of the issues raised in Dr Kalim Siddiqui's research proposal Political Dimensions of the Seerah.
